The Kaizer Chiefs have announced a game-changing collaboration with Kappa

Jessica Motaung is the president of Kaizer Chiefs. Muzi Ntombela/Sports Inc.
"There were a lot of bids, but for me it was the history, what we stand for and what they stand for, their unique approach to the business, and a lot of other things," Motaung explained.

"At the commercial and club levels, they recognised where the club came from in terms of history and tradition, the sort of players we've had, and where we're headed.

"It affects kit deals structurally. Many individuals are unaware that it would alter the way kit deals are conducted. They enabled the club to produce the type of money that clubs are required to generate. They have also enabled us to advertise our brands in the manner that we want.

SHARING NEW EXPERIENCES WITH THE KHOSI NATION

Motaung thinks that the club will be able to make new memories that will deepen the club's ties with its kit provider.

"I am quite enthusiastic about the reuniting of Kappa and Chiefs. The way we worked and what we're building together is incredible, and our fans are in for a treat, and I'm looking forward to the next five to seven years."

The Chiefs' collaboration with Kappa will begin with the 2023/24 season.

During their former tenure as the club's supplier, Kaizer Chiefs won numerous significant titles.
